11. Memory/place: I remember being a little kid, no older than four, going to a hospital to see my greatgrandpa who was dying. The front of the hospital was huge, with a tall ceiling and a cream-tiled floor. It was circular in the lobby, and the front desk was brown and wooden. It has windows along the entire front, with black borders and no shades.
12. Memory/photo: There is a photo of four of my siblings and myself when we were all under eight, sitting in the sparty statue and looking in all different directions. You can see a sliver of the stadium in the background, and there are trees in full bloom behind it. We are all decked out in 90s style clothing, with bright colors and Disney characters on our shirts.
13. People are always smelling flowers as soon as they are in bloom. They can't get enough of it and love the scents of Spring. This would make a good photo because it would capture a scene that shows how people interact with nature.
14. Familiar places would have signs or logos that give away what the space is. There would be little cues that people could catch on to and they would know what it is they are looking at. Far away places would be at a larger scale, showing more in the picture so people could get a sense of where it might be at. There wouldn't be a zoom on it because people would need to be able to tell what they were looking at.
15. A new and old picture put together would show the transformation of someone. It would show how they changed growing up or from an event and what differences in their appearances happened.
16. The first Duane Michals quote would be good for certain people. Many people like to know what they are looking at and have a sense of ease while doing so. Having something extremely provocative might throw people off or give off a bad message.
17. The Ansel Adams quote about landscape is relatable to a lot of people. Photographers want to capture a specific scene and not have any disruptions, but in a landscape it is not always up to the person taking the picture and random things can happen.
18. Berenice Abbott makes a good point in her quote. Photography does show the present, so after it has happened and is on a print or in film, it is a thing of the past.
